Small cranes or light load material lifting, can choose electromagnetic brakes, it is fast response, high braking force and low braking noise, but vulnerable to electromagnetic interference and temperature. Large-tonnage cranes or high-load material lifting, it is more suitable for hydraulic brakes, which can provide strong braking force, excellent stability, but the maintenance cost is higher, the design is more complex. Mechanical brakes are often used in small lifting equipment or light load operations, with reliable braking force and low maintenance costs, but with high friction material requirements. The pneumatic brake is suitable for cranes that need fast response and low braking force requirements. It has fast braking response, good stability and long life, but it relies on large air pressure.
Block brake

Disc brake
- Rapid brake response: Because the gap between the brake disc and the brake disc is small, and the motion of the brake disc is short, the disc brake can respond quickly to the brake command and achieve rapid braking.
- High braking accuracy: the braking pressure and braking torque can be precisely controlled, making the braking process of the crane more accurate, suitable for occasions with high braking accuracy requirements, such as the lifting of precision equipment.
- Good stability: the structure of the brake disc and the brake disc is relatively stable, and it is not easy to produce deformation and vibration during the braking process, which can ensure the consistency and stability of the braking performance.
- Easy maintenance: the brake disc is worn evenly, the replacement of the brake disc is more convenient, and the brake gap does not need to be adjusted frequently, reducing the maintenance workload.
