Purpose Of Drum Group
Leave a message

The main purpose of drum group in lifting machinery is to wind and store the wire rope of the crane. Drum group is one of the core components of the crane, mainly used for winding and storing the wire rope of the crane, ensuring that the crane can stably lift and lower heavy objects during operation.
The drum group consists of multiple parts, including drum, drum shaft, gear plate takeover (or large gear), drum hub, bearing body and bearing, etc. These parts work together to ensure that the wire rope can be wound and released smoothly, so as to achieve the lifting and lowering operation of the heavy object.
The rotation direction of the drum group is also very important. Usually one side is left-handed and the other side is right-handed. The rotation direction close to the reducer side is defined as the rotation direction of the drum. This design ensures the correct winding and release of the wire rope on the drum, ensuring the normal operation of the crane.
